Abdul Rahman Al Saleh: Supporting Government Projects Boosts the Economy

While DOF celebrating the UAE’s National Day , Abdul Rahman Al Saleh, DG of the Department of Finance in Dubai told (AL Bayan ) that : “ Since the start of the global financial crisis the Public Budget of Dubai Emirate has so far seen a great development” . He stressed that the policy pursued by the government to support government projects have yielded results . The Economy maintained position, various economic sectors kept their performance. Al Saleh referred to the good indicators and results achieved by the Transport and Tourism Sector, he pointed out that the Tourism Sector was not affected by the crisis.

Al Saleh comments came on the sidelines of DOF ,Government of Dubai celebrating the UAE’s National Day which included a number of events containing a heritage photo gallery entitled «Dubai in the Past» with a number of photos telling the story of urban development in Dubai  in collaboration with the Municipality of Dubai / Architectural Heritage Division , in addition to the currency exhibition  , which reviewed the history of monetary and commemorative coins in the UAE before and after the establishment of the Union.

Al Saleh said : “On behalf of all DOF staff ,we raise our deepest congratulations to His Highness the  President of UAE, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, may Allah protect him, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the UAE establishment.

He added: “ Despite the small geographical size, UAE made a prominent position at the global level in terms of achievements in 40 years, which is not a large period of time compared to the size of the achievements, affecting all sectors, including the completion of infrastructure and developing it, as well as the development of Education Sector at various levels, in addition to focusing on the Social Aspect providing housing to citizens.

Al Saleh praised the economic achievements made by the UAE, including the establishment of free economic zones, especially in Dubai, where those areas successfully attracted leading international companies from around the world. He expressed deep pride in these achievements.
