In celebrations that lasted for a whole week, The Department of Finance at the Ruler’s Court organized the UAE’s 40th National Day Ceremony, where activities included the two exhibitions for old local currencies before and after the Union, in addition to photos gallery entitled "Dubai in the Past" with the participation of the Architectural Heritage Division from Dubai Municipality.
The activities were concluded on Wednesday, 30/11/2011 with inviting staff in Ruler's Court departments, as well as participants in the events from outside DoF . Dr. / Arif Al Sheikh also was invited , he recounted the facts and memories of his writing the UAE’s National Anthem . Competitions about local tradition were also organized by “WATANI” program. Attendants enjoyed the traditional atmosphere and hospitality.
