Majed Saeed Al Shamsi
Director - Financial Accounting Division
Majed Al Shamsi is the Director of Financial Accounting Division in the Department of Finance, which he joined in 2005 as a Senior Accountant.
Majed has vast experience in the fields of managing accounts, preparing Management Information Reports and Oracle System. He has developed his work experience largely.
He objectively controls Budgeted Payments and work on Cash Management for the day-to-day activities of DOF. He is also in charge for preparing and presenting Executive Reports for the higher management.
He started his career with Emirates Petroleum in 2002. He worked with them until 2005 in different sections like inventory, billing, cash handling and report preparation.
During his service with Emirates Petroleum, Majed got his graduation degree in 2004.
About Financial Accounting Division:
It specialises in the implementation of the approved budget. Its most important tasks are transferring cash payments of various government entities as approved. The Division also organises the available financial resources by investing surplus cash through linking it to banking deposits for periods depending on the government cash plan with an absolute commitment to secure the necessary liquidity to finance public spending, meet its financial obligations and provide the minimum daily liquidity. In addition, it oversees all operations pertaining to opening, closing and adjusting the signatory powers of bank accounts of all government entities in the Emirate of Dubai.
