Celebrating its twentieth anniversary this year, the Department of Finance, which was established by the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, confirms the continuation of full commitment to its responsibilities of overseeing all financial and accounting affairs of the Government of Dubai.

 

The financial arm of the government, the Department of Finance has been aiming at a number of strategic goals and objectives that contribute to the success of the strategic plan of the Emirate. We, therefore, express our commitment to support all initiatives that are consistent with the Government of Dubai’s strategy, looking forward to a serious and effective contribution in playing a leading role in building a sustainable development and a strong economy of a global competitive edge.

 

In the light of the second consecutive zero-deficit budget we achieved for this fiscal year, we will keep up our obligation for Dubai to remain a unique attractive hub for both regional and international economic initiatives.
