Huda Hamdan Al Shaikh holds the post of Director of Technical Support and Development at the Department of Finance. She is also in charge of supervising the Human Resources and Administrative Management sections. Huda Al Shaikh had also worked as Head of the Application Support section at the Department. Prior to her work at the Department of Finance, Al Shaikh held a number of technical posts in the IT Department at Emirates General Petroleum Corporation, the last of which was a financial systems analyst.
Huda Al Shaikh’s most prominent achievements are: leadership of the expenses accounts’ restructuring project at the level of the Government of Dubai, management of the Smart Fiscal Planning project, and development of the DOF smartphone application.
Huda Al Shaikh holds a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Science from the Higher Colleges of Technology, with honors, and a certificate of Higher Diploma in Business Information Technology from the Higher Colleges of Technology with honors, as well as a certificate from Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) in Business Accounting.
About Technical Support & Development Division:
Technical Support and Development Division is responsible for implementing any digital financial initiatives, programs and developments in the Government of Dubai and the Department of Finance. The Division presents and discusses the financial development initiatives with government entities, then manages the projects and programs necessary to achieve the objectives of these initiatives. In order to achieve the success of those programs, the Division uses and contracts specialized expert companies and financial advisers in the various aspects of the government's financial management. Initiatives include changing work methods, establishing policies and financial standards, developing financial applications, automating working sessions, unifying procedures, training and other financial development initiatives.
