Arif Abdulrahman Ahli
Executive Director - Planning and General Budget Sector
Arif Ahli is the Executive Director of the Planning and General Budget Sector in the Department of Finance. Holder of a bachelor's degree in accounting, he is a president and a member of many administrative, financial and technical working committees and councils, including: the Advisory Committee of the UAE Association of Accountants and Auditors.
Ahli is a member of the Jumeirah Golf Real Estate Company, and the Board of the government's financial policy coordination, and the committee of the Dubai Financial Support Fund.
Ahli is currently the Ambassador of knowledge in the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government, in addition to being an accredited lecturer in Maliyoun financial programmes.
Before his work in the Department of Finance, Ahli occupied several positions related to finance, human resources, institutional & strategic excellence and financial control at Dubai Municipality.
Ahli also worked as a financial expert in the courts of the UAE, in addition to his experience as a registered operating auditor at the Ministry of Economy. He also worked as a director of an audit office.

The Planning and General Budget Sector is a strategic section that links the Dubai's goals to the available financial resources. The Sector prepares Dubai Financial Plan on the medium- and long-term in cooperation with all government entities in the Emirate. In addition, it works on continuous communication with government agencies to find optimal ways to achieve financial sustainability and to meet the necessary financial support to government entities in the Emirate of Dubai.
